Change coffee or ratio to get water; change water to get coffee. 1 g of water ≈ 1 ml.
Steps
- Insert a rinsed paper filter in the cap. Standard or inverted position both work.
- Add coffee, then water to the target weight.
- Stir 10 times, steep about 1 minute.
- Attach the cap (inverted: flip onto the mug) and press slowly for 20–30 seconds.
- Stop at the hiss. Dilute with hot water if you brewed a concentrate.
Common mistakes
- Pressing hard and fast: channeling and bitterness.
- Boiling water with dark roasts: harsh cup; try 80–85 °C.
These are starting points. Adjust grind first, then ratio, one change at a time.
